NetBird¶
We use NetBird as a replacement for a traditional VPN, to access internal resources.
NetBird’s SDN eliminates the complexity of managing VPN gateways and firewall configurations, connecting your resources directly and securely without single points of failure.

Internal domain¶
All devices added to NetBird get an internal domain at hostname.f13.internal. You can use this domain to access the device via SSH, HTTP, etc.
Reverse proxy/custom domain¶
NetBird offers a reverse proxy feature which can proxy a service running on our internal systems to a public domain.
We have set up the *.nbproxy.figure13.network wildcard custom domain pointing to NetBird’s eu1.netbird.services cluster. So if you need to share access to an internal service, you can share it as myservice.nbproxy.figure13.network instead of trying to remember myservice.abc123.eu.proxy.netbird.io.
